I hate tattoos with a passion. As you say, it's body mutilation, and not a canvas to be abused. I've seen some horrendous photos of, mainly men, with full face tattoos, but I've also seen an otherwise pretty woman whose face was full of the ugly things.

Worse thing about tattoos though is, they may look attractive to some when the person is young with young skin, but when they get old and their skin begins to wrinkle and sag, the "artistry" is dragged down and becomes even more ugly.

I feel the same about piercings and what they and tattoos say to me is "look at me", "I demand you look at me", because they lack self-esteem and have a need to be noticed by everyone.

And finally, they cost a small fortune, so somebody somewhere is going without necessities.
