As of this date, and the “day” tomorrow (Monday) I will have completed working 40 years at the company I still work for, albeit just part time now since I turned 60.

It was 15 October 1983 when I started this job, following years of being a Civil Servant with the MoD, and I have enjoyed the work and the people for the last 40 years, and there have been many changes in that time. Some have sadly died, others have gone on to start their own businesses successfully.

I’m not sure how many people have achieved something like this, but I doubt many women have worked for so long constantly for one place, although I’m sure I’m not the only one.
