Ahhh... Thanks for that Peter that explains now why the auto till I was on in Asda stopped while i was checking out, An item I was trying to scan would not ' ping' I tried several times ant the machine froze and said/displayed,
" place item on Left tray" I did't know what it meant and called a colleague over, ( new term for shop assistant), I told her that this item won't scan, She faffed about with the package and it ' pinged' and returned to the finish and pay,
