I prefer to pack my own bags as that way I'll know the equal weight I have to carry in each bag (I usually have two).

I prefer to do this out of the way of the till so as not to hold up a long queue by messing about and in the way. Mind you, I have seen people in Lidl pack a large amount of goods whilst still at the till area, and then, they start faffing around with a card or cash to pay, and I find that a bit selfish.
