The fact that Charnock Richard services are (only) charging £2.12 shows you how much over the odds (price to cost) the regular petrol stations are ripping people off by at the moment.
In normal times CR services is usually 45-50p per litre more than a regular one, the fact they are just over 10p actually highlights what is going on.
The wholesale cost of petrol has dropped in recent weeks but instead of retailers passing on the savings to the motorist they have hiked the price.
