During the next few months we’ll see the government’s tax raising plans to enable care for the elderly to be combined with the NHS and cater for a properly funded system. It’s been on the cards for donkeys years. Several £ billions will be required and new taxes will be explored. A hot favourite is that all pensioners will have to pay National Insurance. No doubt it will be seen by Whups as another Tory plot.

GB. You’re entitled to your opinion re foreign aid. There is a majority in the country agreeing with you.
Care workers here in the UK have had a raw deal for ages. A couple of £ billion transferred to the care system from the overseas aid budget each year would give them better pay and conditions and provide a good service to more of our deserving pensioners who currently struggle through each day without assistance.
