dave018: Hi Dave i also have been studying google maps and you are spot on, for some inexplicable reason they have cancelled calling Warrington Road FROM the Little Lane Round-about to the saddle junction its new name is B 5386 ,BUT HOW ABOUT this for crazy ! when you follow thro the lights at the saddle junction it suddenly becomes the A49 AGAIN . Just why they have done that beggars belief .,,, also when you go on the new so called by-pass to wigan when you go thro lights where Poolstock lane joins in the section is called Chapel Lane but for that short stretch it's not the A49 UNTIL AFTER Caroline St then back to A49 to say they have made a bollocks is putting it lightly ,for me they should have left WARRINGTON ROAD ALONE AND GIVE THE BY-PASS A NEW NUMBER That would have been a whole lot simpler typical of planner's !!!!!!!!
