Wigan Council's over the past years don't have a good track record as far as' New builds' in Wigan are concerned.
1.WIGAN INTERNATIONAL POOL Wasn't in fact an 'International size pool, as it was too short. Demolished
2.MARKET GATE and GALLERIES the council demolished a lot of Wigan's hertitage to build these and now they lie empty. and are due for demolition and now to be rebuilt by Johnny Foreigner
3. GRAND ARCADE Build this, at the expense of MARKETGATE and the GALLERIES. WHY was it built when everyone knew what the outcome would be.????
4. WIGAN PIER ORWELL and THE WAY WE WERE Now been empty for years and now being refurbished.
5.WIGAN BUS STATION Recently rebuild.
6. WIGAN MARKET PLACE Must have been rebuild a couple of times. in recent years
7. WIGAN MARKET HALL demolished and a new Market Hall built. Now to be demolished.
8. POLICE STATION now a hotel and a new police station build.

I've said it previously the people who made these decisions have no affinity to the town and probably now work for other councils. Doing the same to those towns.
