The Bush features in Walk 4 ‘Flashes, Locks and Rugby Clubs’:

“The tree-lined path is another recent addition to the Wigan network, and it soon crosses Belle Green Lane at the former Bush Hotel (once run by the famous Billy Boston).”

The pub is now an Indian restaurant


But there are still clues to its original name.
