If the Chinese can provide the best deal why should they be used? No company in this country seems interested in investing in the way they do.

You can bang on about their human rights record but that is a different issue altogether. If we shun them because of it, we ourselves may well loose out.....noses and spite etc.

As for all the negativity and criticism aimed at this proposal.........you need to consider 2 things.....Town centre shopping is in its death throes, and not just in Wigan. It wont be coming back, the areas need a new purpose to benefit local economies. Secondly and it stands out a mile the scheme is for the future, it is not really intended for or to be of much benefit for the more elderly amongst us, rather the younger generations.
