Oh and by the way, did you hear the knocking or banging noise when he stuck his head or microphone down the inspection hatch of the shaft? On some comments on facebook sites people have speculated that something is still working down the shaft or someone is down there!!!
The knocking is actually a piling rig operating somewhere in the Aspull/Blackrod area and the sound is vibrating through the ground.
