General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

As a now 86 year old forward-thinking person, I find that a lot of comments on here are from dinosaurs, people who are living in the past. This virus has been thrust upon the world, so until a positive cure is found more people will die and more jobs will be lost.
Once this pandemic is over, we will wake up to a new world, a new way of life, the hospitality sector will be hit hard, with lots of pubs and restaurants closing down for good. The big food retailers will close lots of unprofitable stores with job losses, but lots of staff re-employed in their distribution centres as online shopping will have been quadrupled. I.T. is improving all the time and expanding rapidly, so lots of the unemployed will have to retrain to fit in with the high tech industry.
Life will carry on, but not as we have known it. Keep safe.
