Yes Tonker/Fat mick, that is what I said. Junction 27 is the one that Broady was referring to.

I was simply pointing out that the junction he was referring to was not the one where the M58 meets the M6 (26) which was the subject of discussion. As he nor anyone else had mentioned 27 I assumed he was confusing it with 26.

On the subject of that slip road (27) it's surprising when I discuss it with locals that it hasn't occurred to them the exit/entrance is raised, as is the road on either side of it, for no apparent reason (unless you know the intended use that is).

Broady, I remember years ago when Granada Reports/Look N.W. did a piece from a bridge over the M58 not long after it was built to show what a waste of money it was. At least you did OK out of it. Only a couple of cars went by in the whole piece. It's not much different now.
