Merseryside Maritime Museum, which is superb, had an exhibition about how Liverpool was basically built on the slave trade, the ships would sail to Africa from Liverpool, where they would load up with slaves, and take them to America, where they would be unloaded and sold, and in their place cotton or other goods would then be loaded, and transported back to Liverpool, the cycle then would be repeated, and the exhibition did not detract in any way from the horror of the slave trade, and of how wrong it was, but {{{HISTORY}}} showed that this was put right in the American Civil War, and everything moved on, so why is it being brought back now, hundreds of years later .....
