Why would Tony ever fly over Wigan? Anyway, yes, Life just wouldn't be the same without a far-fetched story or two!

I think I have a photo of Tony and Lyn stood speccying at Aintree in the 80's!

Here's a story, I was in a race at Aintree probably 1983 or 1984. Anyroadup, we pulled away from the grid and nearly all 40 of us arrived at Country Corner at the same time, as it was.
I was, probably, one of the first 8 or 10 when one of the lads up front came off. Well, I couldn't move out of the way quick enough and ran clean over his legs, which threw me off as well!

Quickly picking myself up and running to the outside of the track, the first thing I saw was Tony, leaning over the railing, pointing his finger directly at me and laughing his head off. Needless to say, he got the two fingered salute immediately!

Tony was about the same age as me, or a year younger. Did you know him well? What about the rest of the crew from round your area, like Dave Dean, Steve Hodgson, Ronnie Penk, Simon Anderson?
