Syd was born in June 1906. Mother’s maiden name was Simm.
He married Elizabeth Wood. In the 1939 census he was living at Verandah House, St.Helens Road, Leigh. His occupation was listed as demolition contractor.
He retired to live in Southport and died during the third quarter of 1981.
