It was not Britain that gave the Jews the land, it was the League of Nations which turned into the United Nations after ww2 they (the League of Nations) split up the Middle East into countries, so if Israel is illegal so is Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq..... In fact Britain did give Jordan to the Hashemites which had no connection to Jordan, but Jews are from Israel and Britain never gave it to the Jews. The Middle East was under Turkish rule from 1517 till 1917 Arabs are not Turks and no Palestinian Arab state ever existed/ Jews in the Middle East in 1917 numbered around 1 million and they owned 30,000 sq miles of land.

Arab Muslims have persecuted non-Muslims for centuries and they did many pogroms and massacres against the Jews in history but it is true that they were not as bad as the Europeans but they weren't angels either. The Jewish claim to the land of Israel is not only a religious one it's also a historical fact that the Jews come from Judea/Israel that's why they are called Jews or am/beni Israel so you can be an atheist Jew and still historical roots to the land of your ancestors. Jews always returned to land but yes mass immigration started in the 19th century and yes it was mostly from Europe but Jews from Arabs lands also immigrated and after many pogroms in the Arab world like in Morocco in 1912 or the massacre in Iraq in 1941 and as a result of this Israel today has a Jewish population of more then 50% from the Arab world and there is less then 10,000 Jews left in the Arab world while Jews in Europe are doing ok. Today, the Jews in the Middle East mostly live in Israel which is less then 8000 sq miles of land and 100 years ago they had 30,000 sq miles of land and they were a 7th of the population then today. Oh and the Holocaust was not done by the Arabs but they did support it and the leader of the Arabs in the British mandate for Palestine/Land of Israel joined Hitler and helped recruit thousands of Muslim Arabs and Bosnians to fight in SS many of them participated in the mass killings of thousands of Jews. And 100 years ago in 1919 the Arabs agreed to the Jewish state when Chaim Weizmann and Emir Faisal met and Emir Faisal agreed to accept the Balfour Declaration
