Mo the surviving Bee Gee Barry Gibb was at Glastonbury on Saturday night doing some of their old numbers with the band Coldplay, they did "Staying Alive", really good.
Glastonbury is not something I would normally watch, but they have had some decent "old" bands on this year like Electric Light Orchestra, who were fabulous.

I know Ray..I put it on utube yesterday..I've just been listening to Robin
singing Isle of Man anthem,that's really nice..I wouldn't say that Robin had

want anything in its place..you don't know what you're putting into your
body with these drugs...moan over..

Sorry to here of your medication problems Mo, as you say you wonder what you're putting in your body don't you.
If the side effects are bad it's not worth it is it.

I had problems with my Statins which I take to keep my cholesterol down, I was having muscle spasms and hot sweats. I persuaded my GP to put me on a lower doseage.
I seem to be OK now.

prescription drugs because we'd seen what they can do..they and myself always went to the health store for anything, but Wigans own closed down
(due to parking prices in the town)so now there's nowhere local except
Chorley...I do not like script drugs at all.

Hello all,just got in..our friend around the corner rang up this a.m...would
we go for a ride with him again to garden centre for more Acer trees..so that

I've been thinking of learning the ukulele for several months now, my dreadful digits are too weak for my guitar, will see how it goes.

We got Susan a digital piano a few months ago, she loves it.

Ray..I envy anyone that can read music..the pair of us can only play by ear
and we haven't room for a piano now..and probably just probably the
ukulele could help to strengthen your fingers..you never know!!!
As for my painting I'm in another world once I start..Id give anything for a
little studio though,it's such a pain putting everything away..it won't stop me
though..been for more oils this a.m.
Keep playing your guitar Ray..there's nothing like music in the house...our
youngest lad is in a group he plays bass guitar..the eldest lad used to be a
drummer...tell your Susan that I envy her having a digital piano.

We both have a great love of music and have a broad taste, especially classical, folk and "old" pop.

We both read music, but Susan is the better of us, she can "sight read", pick up some music and play it straight off.

I love going out walking with my ipod and listening to my music, it just frees up the mind and lifts the spirits, (I am prone to "lows").

As you say it may help my dodgy digits to keep on playing.

Ray I've been cutting a cherry tree back..it was all over the place and
hardly any cherries on..but owd Dave told me how to prune it this Autumn..
so here's hoping.

We had a Cherry Tree in the middle of our "big" front lawn.
The problem with them is they are shallow rooted and I was forever hitting my mower blades with the roots sticking up through the lawn, so we had it dug up, a real shame cos it was a lovely tree.
I used to love seeing the pink blossom in the Spring.

Hello all..well the fans been on all night in the bedroom and it was still too
hot to sleep..it's going on again tonight as well as a bigger one in the living
room this evening.

Ray our friend around the corner 'owd dave' has a gardener ..he has a big
garden, he just buys all the plants each year and sorts them into hanging
baskets everywhere ( he also gives a lot) but the heavy work he leaves to
his gardener who is a farmers daughter and very strong...

Have just finished crocheting a baby's blanket for the lass next door..then
a final touch of painting later on after the ironing ...ugh...

I'm really struggling with the garden. I'm fit and healthy, but the labour is too hard and draining. We have hedges on four sides plus three lawns and loads of borders and flower beds.

Ray,you want to leave that hard work til the evening when it's hopefully
cooler..when we moved into this house it had a lawn..but it was
waterlogged so Cliff flagged it and it's been so much easier..just
power wash it every now and again..but three lawns sound like a lot of hard
work..just don't overdo it in this heat.

I think the real solution is to move to a smaller more manageable property, we are rattling around in our current house, it's a substantial 3 bed detached House.
A small detached two bedroom bungalow would be ideal, but they are rarer than rocking horse droppings where we live.

A lazy morning doing nowt and no guilt with it.

A breakfast of soya burger and beans, a chicken mayo sarnie lunch, I'm set up for the day.
I do like me grub Mo, I know your not a meat eater, but chicken is not red meat, and better for you, We buy a free range 4lb chicken from our butchers every week. We roast it and it does us for a chicken dinner and quite a few lunches.
