Jo Anne..... I think it's time I thanked you for your clever play on words. Many times you have reduced me to giggling fits.

Thanks, Anne & Jazzy, I love word play, but I can't claim credit for the puns in my 8:48 post, they were from replies to Yoko Ono's tweet.
Oscar Wilde's words with a tweak:
Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, a-pea-mess whenever they go.*
(*And blame that Yoko Ono!)

I wonder who invented mushy peas
Replied: 5th Aug 2015 at 19:36
They were invented in 1904 in Austria by Doctor Johan Mush... There was a plague in a village near Dr Mush,s hometown..he examined the patients and discovered after many days that peas done in a certain fashion managed to relieve the sickness within a couple of days .....he received an award for this and that is how the name mushy peas came about !!!

And I think Yoko Ono's idea is quite romantic too.

I was a bit worried that it might have been a different end

I thought it might have been something to do with the Pea Mushateers.
Replied: 5th Aug 2015 at 20:32
