Some shops have exclusive online offers making products cheaper than in-store prices, Ecmdj.

You might find the staff in-store are unaware of the online offer. If the exact item is available online at the discounted price, you could possibly order it and return the shop bought one for a refund when you're next in Bon Marche.

Then they wonder why shops are shutting. Why pay bus fare/parking fees and have the hassle of getting there and back in the cold weather to find out when you get home its cheaper and easier to order on-line and have it delivered to your home

As a rule, with goods such as clothes people want to touch them and try them on. Nothing to stop you doing this in the shop then going home and ordering online but either way the shop closes.

I really do think that, although we all like a bargain and get things online, with the shops it will be a case of "you don't realise what you've got till it has gone".

Paddy and Mick are looking through a catalogue. Paddy says, 'Jaysus, Mick, would you look at all these gorgeous women, and they are very cheap too. I'm going to order one for myself.'

A week later, Mick asks Paddy. 'Well, did your Woman arrive yet?'

Paddy says, 'It won't be long now, Mick, her clothes arrived today.'
