New signs going up at Wigan Imf. stating charges also how you must park (in between the white line etc)also the fine for not doing has above.Parting shot of the sign is THIS IS PRIVATE LAND.If the hospital is NHS then the hospital and land should be PUBLIC domain and therefore there should be no charge to visit the sick

I thought only a court could issue a fine, not the NHS.

The security costs arising from car parking at the local hospitals are covered by parking charges. Free parking would impact on the health care budget.

gaffer,they are making a fortune from the car parking charges.I will grant that it goes into hospital coffers but please don't insult us by saying it is used soley for security of the car parks.
