Alexa

Alexa seems to think she is being spoken to:

1 Repeatedly last night when I watched a programme on TV about Alex Higgins.

2 Repeatedly today when news is making frequent reference to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

3 She also kept responding when I was listening to an item about financial scandal on You Tube. Not aware of what sounds were the trigger in the latter case.

Anyone else getting any strange/spurious responses from her?

It's supposed tobe 'voice sensitive'. ie: only work for recognised/registered voices.

That's what I believed, but it seems to have learned to respond to the telly.

Come to think of it, a while back, I was listening to a You Tube video, when the narrator then said , "and then you can just say, Alexa, turn off........."

I do not even recall what the last word was, as my device immediately responded with, "I'm sorry, I can't do that"!

I have an echo dot, and I switch it off everyday and let it reset itself, otherwise she (Alexa) starts talking utter gibberish.
