Pen Pals

Mine was from Norway in the 60's .Letters (remember them) once a month. Don't hear anything about them anymore. t'internet took over

It would have been then when, through school, I had a penfriend from New York and her name was Jana. I still think of her from time to time and wonder what she is doing now.

I had penfriends in England America and Singapore, Another tradition sadly gone because it was great getting the letters, I found one on Facebook and we message each other occasionally.

I remember being about nine or ten and having a penpal, can't think where it was except that it was an English speaking country, way back in '58 or so.

In the early 1950s, through school, I had penfriends in Orrell.. Hong Kong and Germany.. The one from Germany, we kept in touch well into our teens, then she just stopped writing, don't know why, then that was the end of it.. Time has erased names, all I remember was the German girl lived in Stuttgart, and the girl from Hong Kong, one of her names was Silver..
