I never go out without one. If I forget my floppy hat in sunny weather all I need is 4 knots and I have a backup.

I was watching Wimbledon yesterday and there was a guy with a knotted hankie on his head.

I have a pic of my grandson when he was only months old.. I had taken him to the park, but the sun was on his head, so I tied 4 knots in a Hankie and covered his head.. My husband, (American )thought I was crazy.. but it did the job..
Hankies are way more useful than tissues...

A three legged race can be run with a man sized hankie, not so with a tissue.

I always carry one and my magnificent half. I always suggest them for Christmas presents.
Just remembered, and made me laugh, my brother always carried one and in his youth it was always full of oil and grease after he'd been playing with his Lambretta or his Ford Anglia. Mum was so annoyed!
