Does market no longer then have a fishmonger selling fresh fish EVERYDAY?
(Or, at least every Friday?)
Back in the day
WE USED TO GET FISH DELIVERED BY JIMMY GILLET
Ashton/Bryn, that was.

I don't know what the world is coming to.
Do Wiganers not eat much home cooked fish then these days?
I couldn't buy a proper fresh loaf this morning, even though I shop before 9-00 am. Had to make do with that tasteless, ersatz, sliced crap! Twur orrible stuff!
Will have to take to the car, and an early morning road journey in the morn, just to get a loaf!

priscus, I wouldn't even bother walking to the town centre never mind driving there, I stopped going years ago because it had gone so down hill with the good shops closing and being replaced with card shops etc., there's not any good bakers and confectioners either with only mass produced frozen goods heated up in an oven on shop premises on offer, i.e. Greggs, Galloway's or Pound Bakery.
