Think Waney will do OK although he needs the backing of the management. Not one official statement about any new recruits for next season even though we have FOUR first team players from this season leaving. Hope Mr Lenigan has made a good signing or two on he's recent holiday in Oz

Don't worry, I suspect all will be revealed before long.

Sam is going after next season. He has been offered more than Joel. We have to face up to it we will lose all our best players now to RU.

Waney deserved his chance and we all hope he does well; but two puzzling decisions today....

sad to see Darren Fletcher, championship winning coach of the under 20s, being potted in the 'revamp'

and Paul Deacon's full time position has been announced - assistant coach of the U18s!

Plenty of good young players in the Under 20's and Under 18's.

From what I gather, seven are being promoted to the first team squad.

And no player is bigger then the club.

That's bad news about Darren Fletcher,he is a top up & coming coach

Just maybe Ian Lenegan is cutting costs, and is as tight as one of the staff intimated a few weeks ago,and this is not a mischievous post!

wasn't being 'mischievous' fossil

I just thought the Fletcher & Deacon positions were worthy of further discussion on here

Bri i can't recall a time on here that a Latics fan has argued for anything else but what is fair and reasonable.

They seem to act with dignity at all times.

Wigvet,
The statement I made about Lenegan being tight was made by a person very close to the first team!
I agree with your point about Fletcher and Deacon,it's hard to understand.
Businessmen run their teams these days with longevity in mind for the clubs,so good luck to Warriors and latics!

Fletcher was only a part time coach and the job was interfering with his work commitments.

And you always find people who will call someone behind their back, and do it for their own personal reasons!

I suspect that many Millionaires are tight, perhaps that's why they are Millionaires!
