I hope not ,and I support the other shaped ball game, but always look for their results it seems to me that they do not have the drive to score goals and go for trhe win. Things do not look good though

good entertaining football

good crowds

played with commitment

beat the big guns

didnt bring embarrassment to the town

all these reasons make it more of a shame that they didnt stop up

I think you need to look at the number of kids teams playing in local leagues on a weekend. I think you will find there are as many playing rugby in both League and Union as what there are playing football.

Granted at open age level there are proberly more playing football as it is a easier game and less likelyhood of being off work with a serious injury.

Plus the fact that in the local towns like Wigan, most of the better kids are playing in the academies of the local professional club's scholorship and academy teams from sixteen upwards.

can`t understand why people from wigan can`t support all their towns sports team and why there is so much annomosity between them i`m a wigginer proud to be a wigginer and proud of what they do for WIGAN .As for the Latics no-one expected them to get in the premier league but they did and they have stayed up year after year so if the do go down so what they`ve been there and done it . maybe they did`nt beat the top four last season but they did in the previous seasons apart from man u. Wigan rugby had a good season and it was great to see them back at wembley . SUPPORT ALL OUR TEAMS .( COME ON WIGAN )

janice I do support both clubs but if I had to pick, first choice will always be the Rugby. Trouble is on here you have to pick one or the other or else two or three join little gangs to have a swipe at you Doesn't bother me one bit, like you I am a Wiganer through and through. The way things are going Latics are going to need to start picking up points soon or their great run in the Prem could come to an end and I genuinely would not like that to happen

I can't support the Latic's because where football is concerned, I am a supporter of Bolton Wanderers due to the fact that I was born there and supported them as a kid in the day's of the great Nat Lofthouse.

But when I came to live in Wigan many moons ago, I discovered a game as good as football, so I have also supported Wigan RL since the days of the great Billy Boston.

Best of both games in my case.

But I agree with you, people who are born and bred Wiganers should support the Latic's in football and not club's in other towns, unless like myself, they were born there.

Come on, you Warriors and Wanderers!

When will the above poster learn that he is the most disliked 'person' on this board and the vast majority of people have him on ignore.

They can see his name but not what he posts.

If he manned up and apologized for being such a despicable waste of space maybe some of us may have a bit more respect for him and take him off the ignore feature.

We would of course have to be informed of this by people who monitor his posts for misuse of the English language like Gwim.

as for whether latics go down, i dont think you would get good odds on them staying up if they dont if they dont improve

Rubbish team, rubbish manager. 2-0 Fulham. IF we manage to get anything, it'll be because the crowd booed.

Subject: What is Mr Whellan trying to tell me

In Saturdays Sun Mr Whellan made the statement that Bob would have us in good shape for the Newcastle game because he was the best manager in the league.
Mr Whellan could be right, so why is it we are holding up all the other teams in the Prem. If Bob is the best manager what Whellan is implying is that our players are crap, or is it Dave is talking Bobs value up if he moves on and compensation as to be paid.

Subject: Re: What is Mr Whellan trying to tell me
He is talking absolute bullshit martinez the best in the league, what sort of statement is that from the person who is controlling our club. He is talking like someone who has just escaped from the nut house.
