i,ve already made my feelings known on the scoreline topic, the man is either in shock at his teams stupidity or he has no passion.i,d rather it be the former ,but i,m not too sure ,didnt villa have a lucky escape.

Stop trying to make out that Bolton were made to look better because the Latic's played c***

In the last quarter of the game, they were outplayed and if it had not been for the missed penalty and poor finishing it could have been even worse.

Wigan should stick to Rugby, a game Wiganers know something about.

If Martinez had any conscience or feeling for the club, he should have resigned 5 minutes after the end of yesterday's game. He isn't up to the job and hasn't a clue about players capabilities, tactics, or anything about Premier League football. He said when he came to the club, he had a three year plan where he would take us to another level and we all know where that will be. I can't believe that even after that performance (If you can call it that)He still says we are a good team and we can finish in a top 10 positionEven the pundits, on Sky, were saying that he should be playing two up front at home, and that he should be changing his tactics to suit the teams they are playing against. I think that they are realising that they have been taken in by all the hype about him playing 'attractive football' and him being the best young manager. There are better managers in the Wigan Amateur League. I've got to the point where I can't stand to watch him on TV, with his smug, lame excuses,"we have got to learn from our mistakes" crap. The trouble is we aren't learning from our mistakes. Every time Bolton scored I looked across at him. NO EMOTION. NOTHING. just stood there with his arms folded expressionless. Any other manager in professional or amateur football would at least show some sort of reaction. This guy is a complete and utter Buffoon.
"Nero(Whellan ) fiddling whilst Rome burns" is an analogy which springs to mind.

Read what Matinez had to say and the reporter of the WEP said.

According to them, all to do with bad defending by the Latic's and nothing about being outplayed by the Wanderers for most of the game, especially the last twenty minutes.

I don't care what a teletext review said.

I would say that on the 90+ minutes Bolton were slightly the better team irrespective of goals given away by the Latic's. If Bolton's finishing had been better the score would have been worse.

By the way, what happen to your prediction of three easy points for the Latic's?

If i counted the WiganRL who having nothing to do with Wigan i know,i'd be in the 100's.

They just have such little support in our town.

If the Latic's had to rely on support from just born and bred Wiganers, They would be struggling for a crowd.

Why do you think Bolton supporters sing a song about Wiganers being inter bred with Scousers?

Whilst I will bow to the opinions of Latics fans, who in the main are knowledgeable about their team, surely the players themselves have to take a lot of responsibility for their performances. These are supposedly top players who were bought to do a job yet seem to be failing weeks on end. What I also can't understand is when someone is going on as a substitute, how many coaches seem to use a piece of paper to tell the ongoing player what to do,again if they are playing at this level their natural talent should be enough. So in my humble opinion try playing naturally instead of to a diagram...it may work..

bassman martinez's team selction was a bit confusing on saturday he played a naturally right footed centreback at left back whilst leaving an international left back on the bench and plays a centre mid on the left of midfield, not making excuses because we were absolutely dire

mswigan, but Martinez bought all of these players, who aren't Premier League standard, and if they were, one guy up front can't do it all on his own. Sunderland did exactly the same thing a few years ago They bought Championship players and ended up back in the Champioship. The manager is also responsible for, tactics, training, morale, etc. What have we got? Rubbish players ( There isn't one of our players who would get a start in any other Premier League side) Rubbish Tactics, and, have you been down to Christopher Park and watched them training???? As I have said on numerous occasions £6.5 million for Boselli???? The guy should have been sacked on this signing alone.
Martinez's Record, Not including cup games:-
Played 84 Won 19 Drawn 26 Lost 39 Goals For 83 Against 154
Doesn't make very good reading for one of the "Best Young Managers"( according to some people)

ruddy you can say what you like latics play a better brand of footy than your twenty-five year old tactic of hoofing it upfield as far as it can be kicked.its a long way to the end of the season who knows what will happen .

Only when Alladyce was in charge!

Other then that period, the Wanderers have always been known for playing a passing game, especially on the wings, hence the move which led to the great goal by Rio Coker from the perfect centre by Eagles

What you term a better brand of football will not get the Latic's higher in the Premiership.

no,we have faults has i have pointed out ,but the team can pass a ball, give poor goals away galore ,dont score enough, but their passing game is pretty goodi,ll be at the next home game head in hands or cheering like mad.makes no difference.up the latics ,whoevers in charge

Sorry maybe it's me but thought football was about scoring goals and defending which we are not much good at either, not just a passing game, you can't win matches just passing

it's all about winning, were to easy to play against, teams just sit back watching us pass along the back four wait for our inevitable mistake, get the ball break quickly game over, exactly what happened three times on saturday wigan defenders trying to play football in their own half and ballsing it all up

david 49 agreed, great way to play though arsenal are the best team to watch playing pure football.latics havent got the staff to be playing that way get two big forwards up front and occasionally give em something to chase
