Very disappointed after a good start!
In the second half too many mistakes made it difficult
Leuluai and Sam were our best players, and did not deserve to be losers!

best team won
Roby too quick for us and Saints have two youthfull half backs with who we could not compete
thanks to Maquire - a Grand Final & Wembley win in two years

Sometimes it isn't meant to be, and the last few weeks have told, but winning the cup is a credit to 'em...

It beats me, how any so-called sports fans, who claim to be Lancastrians, can support a Yorkshire team over a local team, and one from their own ex-county as well.
Replied: 1st Oct 2011 at 22:47
so in the final the 5th best team will play the 3rd!
It's a bit ridiculous that two teams can be consistent for a couple of games, get to a final and be crowned 'champions' but Warrington can be so consistent over 27 games and not be.

Hard luck the Warriors, you've done us proud all season, and brought home the Challenge Cup, good luck Madge in your new quest, we won't forget you.
Come on the Rhino's.

well played saints, good to have a ref that spotted the high tackles and forward passes that wigan have got away with all season, the wigan team that made the town proud winning the cup let us down, two bad games v the saints.
good luck to the saints in what should be a good final in the biggest mickey mouse cup of all time.

So only Wigan get away with high tackles and forward passes.
Try watching both sides when you next watch a game involving Wigan.
As for the future, it still remains bright after watching some of our future first team players see off a big physical Warrington team in yesterday's Under 20 final.

tonker you obviously don't realise how much Wigan Rugby fans hate Sent Ellins. Loads of Wigan fans at Wembley a couple of years ago were supporting the Catalan Dragons from France rather than shout for the enemy. Come on you Leeds

Better still if he dosnt watch a game atall, coz its plainly obvious ANYTHING Wigan do he critisises, and he knows absolutely Jaques Shmidt about the game,or even his own mary ann sport come to that

did you notice the linesman on Saturday was Robert "the baby faced asassin" Hicks he got an important call wrong against wigan just as he did at Wembley against Leeds, get him fired off.
Replied: 3rd Oct 2011 at 11:38
they'll still be known for giving the wigan people something to be happy about,in the sporting world, and bringing silverware to the town

The linesmen and the ref do get decisions wrong, unfortunately for wigan it could,(maybe)have had some bearing on the outcome of the game,BUT,they do happen and the townfolk of wigan, have to come to terms with it

agreed but my beef is with the baby faced asassin Leigh have been on the receiving end of this idiots decisions as a ref this season ,as we have with the other idiot James Child, who it was made the call that Myler was offside in the Wire v Leeds match ,therefore influencing the outcome just like Hicks, these two men believe their own publicity ,they are to put it mildly crap.they should both be hauled over the coals by Stuart Cummins and sent back to learn the rules of the game.

Correct call!

if so wigvet that will be a first from the attention seeking Child, "everyone look at me I'm a ref albeit a bad one but everyone look at me " he wants shooting.

as Eric Clay used to say to all the players before a game:
'if you lot promise not too make a mistake...neither will I'

How many more times are Leeds going to get a match winning penalty in the late stages of a game, especially a knock out game.
Late penalty against Castleford in the Semi Final of the Challenge Cup and again in the Elimination Semi Final of the play off competition.
It never ends.
