Wigan beat Georgia in RU World Cup!!!

Started by: wigvet (3549)

so England won in their world cup game today against Georgia by scoring six tries through.....

Delon Armitage born in Trinidad

Shontayne Hape born in New Zealand

Manu Tuilagi born in Samoa

and Chris Ashton born in Wigan....who scored two tries

apparently Lesley Vainikolo now qualifies to play for England because his great great Grand-dad eat Captain Cook!

a farce isn’t it!

PS Well done Chris - your dad would be proud of you!

Ashton did not slip through the fingers of Wigan.

He used the name of the famous Wigan club to attract offers from Union where he always wanted to play.

Ruddy –you obviously do not mix in rugby circles with a spurious claim such as that
Ashtons departure from Wigan is well known – as he was in the first team squad, he asked for an increase, from the paltry ‘trainees’ wages he was on at the time, only to be told by a certain Mr. Lindsey ‘We didn’t even pay Sean O’Loughlin’ that at his age’
The rest as they say is history ..and ‘for a few dollars more’ we let a prestigious talent slip through our fingers..and a Wigan lad at that
Sam Tomkins will follow suit within two years

At least Tomkins will have given Wigan some outstanding performances for the club and accepted what he was given at the same level. As was, it would appear did O'Loughlin and the others who have come trough the academy system.

Ashton along with two other England RU players has been reprimanded for making'inappropriate' remarks to a young female hotel employee.

This, on top of other bad behaviour by England RU players, especially Mike Tindall.

The 'Old Farts' at Twickenham at Twickers will not be pleased, neither I suspect will be the Queen.
