Albert Halsall R.I.P.

Ex Saints player Albert Halsall passed away this week aged 69.he played at Wembley in the 60s he was a regular in Platt Bridge Labour Club a very nice guy.R.I.P. Albert.

Good player Albert,he lived in Ince for a while.
He won the Harry Sunderland trophy in the 1966 championship final.

That's sad saw him a few times down at Central Park,good honest hard player

Was a very wise Domino player as well, played against him a couple of times and usually there was a few shillings at stake. RIP Big Fella

A very very fine person was Albert. God bless rest in peace.

I lived opposite him (his wifes house) in Platt Bridge.
I think they had seperated but I wemt in their house and she had his medals in a glass cabinet. I think he had caps for Lancs as well

I think he scored a hat trick in that 1966 final. Almost unheard of for a Prop Forward in those days.

Albert wasn't a prop, he was a second row forward, wore the number 11 shirt and was probably the fastest forward of his time, he was as quick if not quicker than a lot of backs.
