Latics-realistic targets
I think we should go for two of the Latics old guard.
Jason Roberts at Blackburn and maybe Jimmy Bullard who has just had his contract terminated at Hull.I'd only take Jimmy on a pay as you play basis but i reckon these two would be great for dressing room morale.
It's a shame Scott Sinclair never got much of a chance when he was here the season before last.

Andy van de Meyde and James Beattie were really not the best way of investing a football clubs money, and since the banks have stopped Everton wasting any more,it will be interesting to see the deals moysie comes up with!
There is no team free from relegation ,you could have said that about West Ham,Brum, and Newcastle and they went down, but little old Wigan stayed up

Tom,
I was fortunate and priveleged enough to watch the Everton team a few times when I was a lad just starting work in Liverpool late 50,s and early 60,s.
Bobby Collins ,Alex Young ,Jimmy Gabriel,Roy Vernon and Brian Labone were great footballers!
At that time I was also a rugby mon as well, and also played cricket

Tom,
At that time Liverpool were in the second division and I watched them a couple of times but less than 10000 on both times!
Good job Shankly sorted it

So to realistic targets I would like a tall and handy centre back, and a quick thinking midfielder with a good dead ball delivery!
To ask for a goalscorer is nigh impossible

TOM ,
I think Everton were relegated about 1952 and bounce straight back.
Bullard was such an influential player at the 'Tics, and at Fulham , but as Jay implies, with his terrible injury record these last 2 years it'd' have to be pay as you play.
Nice player and nice lad, Jason Roberts, but 'Tics need someone to find the back of the net more often and he's never been prolific in the Prem.
That jock lad Sammon might come good this season , if Spanish Bob puts his faith in him. Hope so.

Good post pisolivadi.
Although i doubt we'd ever get prolific being who we are.So Jason may have to do.

The overall team seem to be ok, it's just finding someone who can find the net on a regular basis.
