Man city and new signings

Started by: fossil (7728)

Having watched the very entertaining match tonight on Sky deservedly won by city,I was amazed by the quality of the new additions to the premier league on show!
Being a latics supporter who always believed we were about to pay too much for a decent goalkeeper in Al Habsi, the Swansea keeper tonight Michel Vorm was brilliant on his debut, and Swansea forked out 1.6 million for him!
The other signing I was impressed with was for City, Sergio Aguero, I thought he was fantastic, comes on as sub scores two and creates one.
I can't wait to see him in Wigan and also Silva and Dzeko who also played well!
Swansea never stopped trying to play football, and I think they will be hard to beat on their own middin.

Even though Swansea lost I thought they played some good football. They do seem to have a bit of speed in the team especially with Sinclair, Routledge and Dyer. As Fossil said the Goalie played well. That stop on the line from the deflection was top class.

Aguero did look fantastic..

If Tevez stays it'll be a great combination for them.

We said the same about the Swansea goalkeeper, and obviously Arguero was amazing. City may not need Carlos Tevez after all - he's a stroppy so and so.

Aguero, looked like his father in law the way he turned and fired in that shot with his first touch of the ball, he looks a tremendous player. If they can get Tevez to play they will not be far away at the end of the season. Richards is also as good as any right back playing in the country and should be first choice for England.

i agree with everything that has been said, but lets see what happens when city play against chelsea, liverpool, arsenal and of course united in the league.

Watched Aguero many times in La Liga and he has always looked world class, explosive turn of pace and brave as a lion,Wish he was at O.T

I don't think you can get away from the fact there will be two good teams in Manchester this year.
The new keeper at Utd seems to lack confidence which I suppose is understandable, and probably he will improve, but it had better be quick in a very unforgiving situation in the premier league!
18 million at the moment seems a lot to pay ,but I hope he does improve.

Looks like he needs a few puddings and chips.
