Agreed TC, everyone at the club has worked hard this season, and if Wigan hadn't have been so good of late, then they could have won more.

Tiger Cat. French has been brilliant all season He would have won Man of Steel award easily but for injuries and missing all those games. Also how come Peet didn't win coach of the year award after winning the lot. Lewis can't seem to cope with big pressure games He was also crap in the Challenge Cup Semi Final.

You hit the nail on the head phoenix, injuries stopped french from winning man of steel,
Every team in the league would want french in their side,
Wigan would not be the same team without him,
Peet walked into a good team,
Saints lost good players, catalans lost good players, it was on the cards it was wigans year,
What is needed are more good teams to challenge for honours,
Many times i turn off games when its onesided,

Lewis is a very good class and steady player, but unlike French he is not in the same class when it comes to creating and scoring tries you expect from a Stand Off.

And Peet did not walk into a good team, but along with Briers, Leuluai, O'Loughlin and Radlinski they have created one with a mixture of good home growned and oversea's players and I say that as someone who was sceptical of his appointment, but big enough to admit I was wrong in my judgement.,

The half back pairing of French and Scrum Half Smith is the best we have had at Wigan since Edwards and Gregory and long may they remain together in another period of success.

smith kicked very well & there,s no-one in rugby league in french,s class . we are very lucky to have him & those tries in the semi final & final was worth the ticket money alone .

Wigan should have won by a bigger score but for the dropping of the ball by both Marshall and Wardle and the try by Marshall not beeing allowed because of a rule which players consider to be wrong.

The penalty given against Thompson which give the Robins their two points was also harsh!

As for Lewis, all that is needed is to play him out of the game like Wigan did and the Robins are rudderless!

Oc, you can say the same about hull k r, how many times did they make errors near wigans line, they also could have scored some tries, it works both ways.

IN response to my friend OWD CODGER ,
I too totally and utterly agree that the try which MARSHALL SCORED and was disallowed was a complete and utter nonesense for me it would have been the try of the season , when you consider MARSHALL was on-side at the time of the kick ,unbelievable rule .

Whups

The same rule where other players have been tackled in the same way with the referee and match review panel doing nothing about it.

I thought Lewis was funny at yesterday's game when he tried to look tough facing off against a big Samoan during the haka

The Maoris do haka, not the Samoans.
Watch this video and imagine ..... little Andy Gregory 'facing off' against that Maori number 15!
