Well although it hurts to say i'm right but ,Iam for i predicted at the season's start that United would not get past the first group stage ,then i also forecast them not to retain the caroboa cup , Right again,So last night was not a surprise for me . Also niether was tenhags excuse he made later , same old ,same old rhetoric . NO substance whatsoever ! Now there are only two things to play for and first up is Wigan Athletic in F.A. CUP and the REMOTE possibility they could try and finish in a top 4 spot , i will give my predictions about those in January 24.

RE-Grimsahw ::
Asked by my friend Mr .G. I would seriously consider 2/3 candidates ,so here goes stand by;
1st . CARLO ANCELOTTI
2nd. JOSE MOURINHO
3rd. OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER .
There is talk of Graham Potter ex -Chelsea boss ???? jury out on that! Also
Zinedine Zidane . I have a feeling i may get some stick for my choices but as they say they are mine alone IF pushed for a first one well i would go for ...............Carlo Ancelotti I AWAIT your cooment " G "

Just read in today's paper the list of so-called injuries at O/T ahead of Sunday's game at Anfield it's pretty horrific the total is 13 yes 13 players which i mainly all th first teamers . I am in dread of Sundays outcome , i believe last seasoon's 7.0 &4,0 mauling will pale into insignificance come 7.00pm We are talking about rashford &martial (Illness ) Malcia & Diallo & Erikson ( Knee) next is Mount ( calf) Casemiro (Thigh) Martinex( Foot) Maguire ( Groin) Lindelof ( Knock ) Sancho ( Discipline) Fernandes ( Suspended ,) A lot of these have been off or out for a long time , NOW THEN we look at my other sport love RUGBY LEAGUE this is a very ,very tough sport and for my club WIGAN WARRIORs they don't have anything any where near what these football players have so again i ask the question ,,,,,JUST WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?????????

G B .
Thank you for naming your choice of 3 who you think should be the next utd manager .
I have to say i do not endorse your choice but respect what you opine .
The rumours are stronger than ever re the future of E T H.
I heard just this morning that x utd players who have strong credentials have been sounded out to replace E T H but of course it could be just rumours .We will see .
Keep the faith .

I don't doubt that a lot of the injuries are real. But i am a tad suspicious about the Rashford and Martial " illness " Situation, are they ill or is it merely Ten Hag didn't want to say he had dropped them? Don't get me wrong i'm not just having a pop at Ten Hag because other managers have also probably done the same with the intention of not showing the players up by saying they were dropped. But i reckon if they are dropped it should be made public to give them a kick up the harris and see how they respond the next time they are selected. Anyroad up let's see if they are available on Sunday, i will wager that they are.

If he was dropping them surely he would have had them on the bench in a game they needed to win, that was the most inexperienced set of subs I can remember for any game with something riding on it.
And like you say if he was looking for a reaction having them freezing on the bench in a game of that magnitude would surely get a bigger reaction than having them lounging in the warmth somewhere?
Either way like you say they need all hands on deck come Sunday.

You may have a point there, or maybe they weren't on the bench because he simply doesn't trust them to change anything if he brings them on? I do think Rashford will play on Sunday ahead of Antony but i will be totally gobsmacked if Martial gets a start. It will be interesting to see who plays in the back four, i am going to have a small punt on Amrabat to get a yellow and also to get sent off if i get a decent price.

Chatty ,Speyk.
You both make good points re the situation at U t d .
Not one manager has been given the time to sort things out since S A F retired .
Look at the time HE was given by comparison.
Common sense should apply with E T H and give him time .
SA F made some right balls up at times by his own admission but the club stuck with him and the rest is history .
We will return and claim our place on the top table .
Keep the faith .

IT makes a pleasant change to read threads are from genuine sensible members , i would like to mention to "G " that on sky sports news last night was all talk about Untd and the FAV in thier opinion should SJR take charge and dismiss ETH ,then the guy they were raving on about was a ceratin
Graham Potter . Just saying that's all!!! Yes i will KEEP THE FAITH TOO!

Ditto G B re your comment alluding to sense.
I had seen the news about Potter and have to say i wasnt overly excited although he did a job at Brighton and more than likely was sacked before he could get Chelsea on the right path.
Surely if E T H is sacked it would make sense to look at ex utd players who have managerial experience and know the club inside out and played under the Master .

Stick with Erik.
Potter for me does not make sense, he did well at Brighton where the set up is fantastic, the system in place for recruitment exceptional and once a player or manager goes the next one off the "production line" seems to step forward, and that is why their current manager De Zerbi is now flavour of the month.
Once Potter got to Chelsea which is in the same basket case of a club boat that we are at present with players seemingly being bought willy nilly and no obvious long term plan he didn't cut the mustard.
For me United can write this season off if need be (much like Liverpool did last year but because Klopp has credit in the bank it didn't get a mention) get the key injured players back, another summer transfer window and then let us judge if this manager is really the one to take us to where we want to be or not

I would like to bring up this question of S.J.R. and his buying a stake in the club what intrigues me is the fact that we are contiually being told " The Deal will be next week"" this is now becoming as satle as the rotten Glazers alledgedly wantig to sell the club. My question is seeing that he is only being allowed to purchase 25% of the club then WHY is it taking so boringly long to accomplish ??? IS there no pressure from any source to try and prise a answer out of of all this mess ? IE Supporters Fan Club Base ?? After all they the evil ones have supposedly agreed to sell 25% to S.J.R so why the delay ????
