EURO MATCHES

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (3349)

What do our sports enthusiast's think about the up and coming fixtures ie champions league// europa league ??? Me i think a decision should be made to SCRAP THEM ALL NOW , i base that on the rate of the increasing speed of this horrid virus. I still find it hard to come to terms with our own country playing prem league and other divisions , i appreciate it is avery serious situation for ALL clubs ,but until we can say wthout a doubt that we have beaten/controlled this virus then sadly close it down ,, WE are losing way,way too many people would like your views . Stay safe as much as you can..G.B.

I think they should continue. In these groundhog days games give all fans something to look forward to and is good for national morale.

The staffing levels involved in putting on games is minimal and the players have tests every couple of days. Apart from the notorious party idiots, players probably adhere to the lockdown rules more than most as the stakes are higher.

Football might seem frivolous to non fans but brings alot of happiness, and boy do we need some at the moment.

You are very wrong in your assumtion that because the reds are out of C/L I AM ADVOCATING SCRAPPING IT ...ITS because i feel its the right thing to do. Also the same thing applies to this europa cup they should not play in that either .. Finally perter g i thought if you read my comment my main concern is not any football /rubgy /or any other sport but as i wrote i am very concerned AT THE VAST NUMBERS OF HUMAN BEINGS THAT ARE LOSING THEIR LIVES THAT WAS MY POINT THATS ALL . STAY SAFE G.B.

I agree with GB on the European issue, it's one thing to travel around the U.K. but crossing borders is a different matter altogether.

If European games were abandoned I would be disappointed but understanding.

Hello PETER,G
Thank you for your response well i agree stop the lot the whole shebang !!!
CAN you try and envisage stopping everything now and then hopefully restart again in AUGUST A NEW SEASON again this will depend if we can get all OUR PEOPLE ,NURSE'S ,DR'S /PPOLICE /SCHOOLCHILDREN VACINATED THATS GIVING US A GOOD 7/8 MONTHS TO TRY AND RID OF US THIS HORRIBLE VIRUS , i don't know if you saw the chelsea v luton game on sunday ,where they segregated the teams ie not allowing the luton players in near distance to the chelsea players ,, my point what a joke because when they got onto the pitch they were all just as close laughable what do you think ? Whilst on the subject i thought the perm league were trying to stop players celebrating ( hugging ) one another afer scoring ?? well that did not happen united /v l/pool did it just saying by the way i sincely hope i dont come across aowd fuddy duddy wanting to scrap all and sundry its just that this virus does really shit me up that's all ,, STAY SAFE G.B.

What a load of bollocks.

Are you a Wiggin Rugby fan by any chance?

And I suppose Super League is exempt, is it?

Sorry for the delay JARVO ::
I must not have click send when i first replied to your comment so here it is
WHY do you want to know if i am a wigan rugby fan?
Then you say you suppose super league is exempt? is it?
Well firstly my remark has nothing to do with me being a fan or not i do not see the relevance of the question .
Secondly If you'd read my letter you would have seen i said "" STOP THE WHOLE SHEBANG""
The latest figures issued by BORIS that thus far we have lost over
100.000 SOULS ,SO I ITERATE MY COMMENTS ABOUT SHUTTING DOWN ALL/ALL /ALL SPORTING ACTIVITIES UNTIL WE GET THIS HORRID VIRUS UNDER CONTROL IT REALLY IS QUITE SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU , SO BYE FOR NOW AND DON'T FORGET
SAT SAFE . G.B.

I see in today's paper the EURO power people ie
Aleksander Ceferin UEFA president he has pledged his full commitment to all the EURO'S going ahead in the current format! QUOTE .. They are committed to holding EURO 2020 IN THE 12 CITIES OF WHICH THEY HAD ALREADY PLANNED .. AS for fans they hope by APRIL THEY MAY BE ABLE TO HAVE FANS BACK .. So here we are again everyone on here knows my views i think it is an utterly CRASS and IRRESPONSIBLE IDEA as iv'e said more than once why oh why can't they wait until ,say mid summer then take a look at the situation then ? I would also like to raise another issue and that is " the transfer window" doen't this show us at this very sensitive time these richer than rich clubs are banging on about millions of pounds for players , could they not have stopped this years January window for once??? IT just seems to me that all they care about is the almighty £/$ /euro i think it's sick .. so STAY SAFE ALL .G.B.
