FA CUP

Started by: GOLDEN BEAR (6556)

I would like to bet that KLIPPITY KLOPP WILL be happy playing against ASTON VILLA 's CHILDREN TONIGHT BECAUSE of the virus has hit villa badly . I personally they should scrap the FA CUP COMPS THIS SEASON its absolutely ridiculous to play these games with half a team its bad enough keeping the league games going this i feel is a step to far. But as i say old KLIPPITY WILL TAKE IT IGUESS.

We dont want the competition turning into a complete farce G B.
Woudnt really surprise if the P L was halted soon and possibly the F A cup.

The FA cup gives some much needed income to smaller teams, like Marine for example.

Well done to Aston Villa and also Derby County for not postponing their matches and giving their other players a chance.

Frecky;;
Its not a matter of OLE BEING ditto All i am saying is that people are bloody well dying and yet we are still farting around wanting to play football ,,,
GIVE ME A BREAK ! which would you sooner have????
I also like to ask you ( mortarmillbill)) luck as it there were no problems but again i ask you what if anyone of these players caught this shity disease and died what then? and i do appreciate money to clubs like chorley/marine are life saver so i pray it goes ahead without any problems ,but i think there has to come a time when we stand back and say i tell you what we will close sport down ,....stay safe G.B.

guys has anyone picked up why city,s both men & women teams are "supposedly riddled with covid & postponing their matches ? .there,s no other as i know that has had both their teams canceled due to covid . is it bad management or is there something else going on like giving their players more time to recover ? .

GB...my answer to you was in respect of your comment regarding Klopp taking the game on.....I totally agree with your sentiments about the cancellation of matches.....what makes footballers a special case... I read that the Burnley manager is calling for footballers to be around the top of the list for immunisation.....WTF, they earn enough to have it imported if necessary.....Stay safe.

I think your correct whups,
In my opinion the fa cup should be scratched, its turning into a farce with teams playing kids,
Some teams seem to be able to cancel a game and some are being made to play, makes you wonder, the cup comps are now dead in our league, most teams play under strength sides , only a couple of sides play strong eleven like city, that's why they have done well in this comp for the last few years.

Perhaps someone on here who are more learned than myself when it comes down to football fixtures please tell me why utd will have played two games since the dippers played last friday before the big game at anfield next sunday.?
I will bet england to nothing we wont hear a dicky bird from klopp as opposed to his moaning and groaning the other day re the fixture pile up of the dippers.

Grimshaw, I spotted the same thing a couple of days ago, United could have played Watford on the Friday and changed slots with liverpool, then it would only be one game but as of now the dippers have 10 days rest compared to United 4, and played an extra game, the fa are certainly looking after city and liverpool of late.

Tiger cat, {in my opion the fa cup should be scratched), united would have to pay back millions to there sponsors.also no supporters paying to watch, still a chance the prem could stop then united paying millions back to the tv companies, be care ful what you wish for.

Diston, I don't wish football would stop I was just saying what a farce the cup comps are these days, villa played kids against liverpool but have had their league game called off, hence giving liverpool a bye into the next round, if villa had played a full strength team who knows,

t c ,whups .
Spot on .
Look at who the berties have drawn .
Something a little dodgy that they seem to get easy games on a regular basis.
The dipper fans make me laugh.
They win a league title for the first time in 30 years and then start singing from the rooftops they are the greatest team ever .
You have to win the P L again and again etc etc to even come anywhere near utd .

I notice that of all the top teams say its strange how they have pitted liverpool and man united together though if you look to the other say top flight they have very easy draws ,and i know what people will say
(( its the luck of the draw )) I used to believe that until years ago when watching the draws being made for the R.L.C.C. Wigan would always ,and you could bank on it be drawn away in Yorkshire to their top clubs but hey oh thats how WIGAN RUGBY coped and we ran up 8 C/C/ WINS ON THE TROT i can here the berties gleeing with the trip to a very hard game at
cheltenham wow pep g any complaints .

United actually requested that the Burnley game was played before they went to Anfield, i thought a diehard supporter would have known that.

Never believe what you read in the papers pal .Dosnt change the fact that we play saturday ,tuesday then sunday while the dippers play friday then 8 day break until they play utd..
Did you read that in the echo.?
Thought so.

Didn't need to read it in any paper pal, the words came directly from your managers gob! Or don't you believe everything he says? Thought so.

The request for the Burnley game was widely quoted in the sporting press including the MEN. As to whether is was true we mere mortals will never know.

On Saturday United reserves fulfilled a first team fixture. How many of that starting line up against Watford will start the game against Liverpool?

Its clear utd going top has touched nerves .

Oh dear what a shame .

I was just stating facts old lad and why would you think you have touched anyone's nerves? United are top for now and deservedly so, the league table doesn't lie, but let's see what it says at the business end of the season.

You are not wrong pal.
The table dosnt lie .It never did for the dippers for 30 years regarding the P L champions .
How it must have caused equal bitterness at bogfield as it did in east M C when utd won the P L on a regular basis .
I concur .We will see at the season end .
Its one from a possible 4 who will be champions I M O .

I could say it never lied when Liverpool were top dogs in what came to be the premier league... But history is history... I don't dwell on it like you seem to do.....And getting back to the present.. City or Liverpool will be top or second. United will compete for top four and may make it because other teams will fall away...... But i will wager you any money you like they won't finish top.
