Latics have their relegation confirmed

Sad to see Wigan Athletic fail in their appeal against the 12 point deduction for going into administration.
Hopefully they will be able to drag themselves up by their bootlaces and find new owners keen to invest in their long term future.

Things happen...and perhaps in this case Wigan can rebuild again....they have lost players and to start next season -12 pats in the championship may have proved a bridge too far...

I was speaking to a latics mon last week, who said with the way things are, it would be better for the Latics to go down to League One, because they would just not have the money to exist to the Championship, because as part of the punishment for going into administration, they will not be allowed to buy any players for ten years, and so it will be more affordable for a potential buyer to buy them as a League One club, than a Championship club ....

They say that every cloud as a silver lining, and so by being relegated, that will prove to be a godsend to the latics

Heard there was an embargo for 2 years that stopped us paying transfer fees, so presumably, if we can get players coming in on a free or rely on the Academy then that's ok. I still think we've been bent over, and the powers that be need to look at the alleged ' Latics to go down story. If there's any truth in that how many rules, business or otherwise, have been broken. Has anyone heard who the new owners may be yet ?

Nothing other than corruption within the powers that run the game .

in my opinion, i think latics are in deep trouble. the present climate as it is, who would want to buy them ? i do hope i'm wrong, but this could be the end for them.

How did Sheff Wed get away with it

the football authorites both premier league and efl are a/holes.
the premier leaguet takes 3 or 4 months to decide the newcastle proposed takeover and the efl take 3 or 4 minutes to look at 3 takeovers of the latics.
parry was kicked out the premier league for errors.he could not be trusted with the wigan amatuer league.
