ENERGY CRISIS ?

I read this week what SPAIN is doing to help it's citizen's during this crisis with regard's to Gas /Electric and inflation worries , They announced that ALL their people will be allowed to travel on the train network for FREE!!!
Then around the same time FRANCE that country that allows all illegals to pass through their country so they can access the English Channel thus invade our country there latest help for the people of France is to LIMIT THE INCREASE CHARGE FOR GAS /ELECTRIC TO ONLY 4% , Whilst this evil corrupt tory gov are allowing our energy companies to charge anything up to 80 % increase's in some instances, SO MY Q ,IS IF THE LIKE'S OF SPAIN & FRANCE CAN IMPLEMENT THESE THINGS FOR THEIR PEOPLE WHY THE BLOODY HELL CAN'T THIS GREAT BRIATAIN DO THE SAME ?????? GB

Is it because our government is on the side of, Centrica, BP, et al, and not on the side of the people?

which has always been the case . i wonder about those who voted tory in the last election feel now ? .

The 'free' rail fares in Spain are not actually 'free' and they aren't for everybody. It's a ticket that costs €10 and only applies to certain journeys for qualifying people.
ie: anybody who lives in Mora and works in Barcelona will be entitled to the ticket. The normal fare is €12.60, so it's a good saving if they go each way five or six days a week. Reus, to the airport, is €5.60 one way. €11,20 for the two of us, so not worth the €10 fee, even if I qualified for it, which I doubt.
They also knocked 20 cents of a litre of diesel and petrol, but that finishes on the 26th September.
