I knew Frank Chatterley, from Tipping St. Poolstock. He had a couple of brothers, Harry and Vince, both very good dart throwers. They threw darts for Poolstock Cricket Club in the 50's and 60's. Their parents were the steward and stewardess of the club. I think there were other members of the same family, but I can't just bring them to mind.
I also knew some of the Wignall family, also from Poolstock, facing St. James' Church. Derek Wignall died about 2 or 3 years ago. His brother Keith moved to Leyland years ago.
Hope this helps.

Back in 1963 (thats 45 years ago !) I dated a young lady from Warrington - her surname was CHATTERLEY.
Her father was a train driver for British Rail, I don't know if they were related to the Chatterleys you are looking for.
Back in 1963 the surname of Chatterley was quite controversial with the release after the court case of the book "Lady Chatterleys Lover".
