A lorry driver was driving into Ashton one afternoon. He didn't know the area so, seeing a couple of local blokes walking along Warrington Road, he pulled up to ask directions.
"Alright lads"! asks the driver, "Can you tell me where Garswood is"?
One of the local blokes looks at his watch and replies, "Well, it's two o'clock, so he'll be either in t'Catholic Club or t'Kings Arms"!
