Are you sure there are Winstanley in the grave? The grave reads Annie Davies died 11 Apr 1947, John Robert Daves 17 Mar 1957, Doris (Duxbury) Davies 14 Feb 1952, Thomas Davies 15 Sept 1983. Someone's done a family tree on Ancestry where according to that , Doris and Thomas had a daughter also named Doris who married John Winstanley. Younger Doris and John had 3 children together. Don't know how accurate it is but there's photos online of them.

GB you could go to the church yourself and explain to the vicar your concerns he MAY let you look at the records yourself , it may be that the person who gave you the info as misread a letter or a number??
