old mate

help needed looking to find an old work mate a bernard smith he lived in balcarres avenue whelley wigan worked for lucas building sytems ltd whelley and i think he always used to go in scholes labour club might have even been on the committee some one told me he lives some where near the old wigan rugby ground but not sure where it is also remember his wifes name was joan but she died about 1972 still looking would go to museum of life wigan but its closed just to check the death records if anybody remembers anything at all please get in touch thanks alan
