Thomas Rowe

Started by: mags (7)

I'm trying to find out what happened to my great-grandfather Thomas Rowe. He was born in 1867 in Bradshaw gate Scholes. He married Mary Ann Moran in 1889 at at Patrick's church scholes. My grandfather,Thomas was born in 1890. In the 1991 census, Mary Ann is living with her parents in Spring Street with her son Thomas. No sign in her husband. He seems to have totally disappeared. Mary Ann seems to have taken up with a James Connolly with whom she had more children. Any help regarding Thomas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I have this information, thanks.
I'm trying to find out what happened to Thomas, my great-grandfather. I know his wife had more children with James Connolly, but she is buried as Mary Ann Rowe, so I don't think she remarried. Thomas just seems to have disappeared.
I have found a Lawrence McHugh on a passenger ship to America,he is traveling alone, so don't know what happened to Ellen, his wife. If it's the same Lawrence McHugh the is.
Mary Ann's parents were Patrick and Mary.

Hi again,

Sorry to mither but could you tell me who your parents and grandparents are. If I've worked this out correctly I think we could be related.

Thanks
Mags

Hi, thanks for replying. I hadn't been able to find much info on Johanna Rowe, so it's exciting getting some news.

I wondered if you had any information on her brother Thomas, I have found info on James but not Thomas.
Regards
Mags

It would appear Mary Ann and James Connelly could not marry as Thomas was still living but unfortunately in the Asylum. Possible death for Thomas 1935 Cheetham
