I was having a good glass of red with a Wigan mate. we got talking about school. then his name came up K.G Murphy. It killed conversation for a few minutes, K>G was like that , loved or hated. Where did you stand/

i was between both, if you kept out of trouble he was fine, but woebetide if you stepped out of line, he went a little bit too far sometimes. i must say though, he sorted the troublemakers out at the time i was there.

I agree , he was a good man in many respects , highly regarded , but as you say get on the wrong side, Then I think he was quite sadistic. Like most of us not perfect.

I believe a very big attendance at his Funeral. I would have liked to have been there. To say goodbye to the old bastard

I went past the top of Baytree Road tonight, looks like the old boys school is being demolished.

yes i remember david lawson, didn,t like him at all , not a nice teacher in my opinion.
