brittania bridge school

hi,anyone out there went to brittania bridge shool.the infants was mixed then the seniors was all girls.the boys going mostly to spring view.would love to her from anyone who remembers me(i was vicky armstrong up to the age of 7)

sorry i did mean to do that.i started at b/b infants in 1952 and back again in 1958 till 62.

no it wasnt vivien kite. it was brenda frost.
we lived in lancaster street until we got deported to higher ince when they demolished our house

will tell her when i see her, she is in benidorm with hubby at the moment.
do you remember any of the lads that used to live near you, ie. harry farrimond and ronny taylor.
before we lived in lancaster street we lived on warrington road alongside the blackie wall with my grandma her name was McSorley.

hi gozzer,i do remember ronnie taylor,he had a younger brother ,i think he was called steven.thier gran lived next door,she was mrs wooley .i can't recall harry farrimond.i remember yuor grandma,did'nt know how it was spelt though.hope your ok.

hi dainty duck.as i said that picture was taken in macc on christmas eve.the people are rex and margaret.were does dainty come in your name?as you can see from the profile my maiden name was dainty.

hi the name dainty.duck is what my mum used to call me when i was a toddler because i was always small and chubby and used to waddle like a duck when i walked.

also someone called robert thompson who lived near the school end of harvey street

hi gozzer,who are you ,apart from brendas brother,you seem to know all the people that i do.mrs halsal is still living in harvey st.there was carol and there was a robert as well.
robert thompsom lived dead opposite us.

hello peter(gozzer),i can't remember you, but it is a long time ago.i will mention your gran to my mam as she hopefully will remember better than me.one of the halsal girl's ,i think it's carol has a very good job at the hospital.

hi hesky, i know its rude but how old is your mum and where did she live?name rings a bell but its a long time ago.ask her if she recalls me .in the infants i was vicky armstrong.my name was changed when we went to st. marys (aged 7 )to dainty.

plum do you remember a guy called tommy.
he used to go around aided by two sticks.
we used to go under the railway past kays houses into the fields on trips from sunday school

oh gozzer,i do remember tommy fenton.he used to take all the kids on walks while thier mams did the washing ect.a wonderful man.could you imagine that happening these days.a man taking a load of kids to the cornfield.everyone would go mad.tommy was a true gent.he got a little invalid car a few years before he died.

thats right his name was heyes.
i remember going over the fields with sugar butties and a bottle of water.
can u imagine the kids doing that today.
they couldn`t manage without their mobile phones and i.pods.
i spoke to our brenda today she has just got back from benidorm and she does remember you.
speaking of the fentons my grandma lived next door to them on warrington road
I saw a couple of the girls just before christmas at my sons engagement party.

Hello Vicky! I am living in Standish. I have 2 children, a boy aged 23yrs and a girl aged29yrs. My daughter has been married just over a year,but my son is still at home.

how nice to hear from you.do you happen to know anything about a reunion that b/b holds?graeham hart put some pictures from the infants shcool on there and he said he would let me know when the reunion takes place but so far i hav'nt heard anything.if you have f/r look for b/b, the photos are good.i have been coming to wigan quite a lot as my mam is in hospital at the moment.all my sisters and brother still live there.our lillian has a couple of flower shops,one un hindley and one in aspull.our john has a gardening business(never good at spelling)'irene lives up whelly ans lorraine at ashton.

hiya rosalie yeah my mum and dad are fine,our andrews girlfriend is having another baby boy and is due on 22nd may we cant wait. our daniel is 10 now and megan is 7 they went down to cornwall with my auntie irene to see eileen they loved it
