Gale Gates , Westleigh .

Have any local historians ever heard of Gale Gates at Westleigh ? A past member of our family , James Green was a farmer at this location in the 1851 Census with his wife Betty & Family . Can't seem to find any modern day reference to it ! Thank you .

Thank you very much Dodger ,you have sorted it for me . It is listed as Gale Gates in the 1851 Census, must have been an error , but in the 1861 Census , it is Gabgates . Wonder what became of the farm ?

The farm was still there in 1936, someone who lived there got married.
