Scholes Crossing

i am trying to search on the 1939 register for a friends family she knows they lived above a shop in scholes crossing in 1939 was there a street address for this area please her family were the Gallaghers

if you do a search on here there are old maps of Scholes but thee are hundreds of streets!

Winnie, I came across this on stuff/memories/Greenough Street

I worked in Maidwells sewing factory from 1939 - 1941. At the time they made ladies aprons, domestic overalls. It was on the corner of Orchard Street and Greenough Street. My mother had a grocery shop at 47 Scholes near Scholes crossing - Gallaghers. I moved from Maidwells to Northern Counties to do "war work" when I turned 18.

Rose Normanly (Gallagher), Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Ireland

Perhaps the family lived over Gallagher's shop?
