DID ANYONE GO TO THE ALL SAINTS 50 YEAR REUNION?

I ask because my dad left All saints in 1957 and was sad that he had missed the 50 year reunion(he didnt know about it)..Did anyone on here go to it?
If so,have you got any info on it i could pass on to him?People,thoughts ect..Thanks!

Yes I went to the All Saints reunions, which were to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the school.In fact two events were held last year ,one in May 2007 and one in November 2007.I don't quite know what info I can pass on to you, other than to say the events were well publicized in this forum on Wigan World, and both events were well attended.If your dad looks in schools in the Album section, and clicks on All Saints, there are some photo's he might be interested in seeing.Hope this helps.

THANK YOU ACKKY..HE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT IT AS HE HASNT GOT A PC AND DOESNT KNOW ABOUT WIGAN WORLD,NEITHER DID I UNTIL OCTOBER LAST YEAR AND FOUND IT BY CHANCE.
DAD WAS TALKING ABOUT A REUNION LAST YEAR AND SAID I WONDER IF THEY ARE HAVING ONE AS ITS 50 YEARS SINCE WE LEFT SCHOOL..BUT SADLY HE DIDNT GET TO GO TO IT..
HE WOULD HAVE ENJOYED THAT IM SURE.

What is your fathers name, from what you said about him leaving in 1957, which was two years behind me, I would imagine he knows John Blinkhorn who also left in 1957.He should also know some of the boys in the 1955 class posted on the schools page All Saints in the Album on WW.

I was just browsing i went to All Saints from 1956 to 1960 my nane barry holcroft, remember the names of some of the lads in my class, Bill Robinson Geof Anglesy, Allan Barnet Kieth Berry to name a few very happy times , thought alot of Ernie Griffiths great teacher

Very sad to hear of Jeff Anglsea we were mates at Blue Coat School he was always known as Sox I don't know why. I was in the year below him at All Saints 1957/1961. I remember Barry Holcroft and Keith Berry. I also thought a ot of Ernie Griffiths strict but fair.
