Wigan pier complex covers a large area and I am sure a few workmen could keep social distance to work

Can't blame Covid. Take a trip to Manchester; construction is everywhere - a hive of activity. 'Buzzing' the Mancs would say!

Golden Bear - all acknowledged; thank you.
What concerns me though is (in Manchester) that many historic areas and features/buildings have been eradicated due to what appears to be a rather carte blanche approach with developers. Manchester is rather special to me. I see it as my preferred city and have many memories since I first went there - maybe I was 12.
I would love much investment in Wigan, but we must protect whatever little is left of our heritage. We have lost much but there is potential to improve on what we have, eradicate what is letting the town down and both conserve and celebrate the remains of our historic town.
